Through a grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) and Florida Disabled Outdoor Association (FDOA) are hosting an outdoor event for people with paralysis and mobility related disabilities.

Where: Lake Silver, 250 S Lake Silver Drive, Winterhaven, FL 33881
When: February 9, 2019 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST


This event will provide an opportunity to use and experience a varied assortment of outdoor recreational equipment that has been adapted for people with disabilities.

Equipment that will available for use on the beach, water, pavement and trails:

•    Off Road Track Chairs
•    Adapted Kayaks
•    Hand cycles including Quickie and Top End
•    Electric bikes including the Fat Tad
•    GRIT Freedom lever drive chairs
•    Power & Manual Beach Sand Wheelchairs
•    Floating Water Wheelchairs
•    Beach Access Mats & Products
•    Hobie Mirage Islander Tandem Sailing Boat
•    Wheel Chair Accessible Power Boats
•    Electric Fishing Reel & Pole Holders
•    Hunting & Shooting Accessories
•    Wheelchair Accessible Golf Cart
•    Hotdogs, Music & Fun Things To Do  

There will also be opportunities for wheelchair accessible boat rides in the bay, games, food and drink.
