Volunteering

Florida Disabled Outdoors Association is proud of the many volunteers that come out each year to help people of all abilities. We want to thank you for your help. You are what make this program a success. We honestly couldn’t do it without you!

Whether you have been to SportsAbility in the past or you will be enjoying it for the first time, this information will be helpful! It's only a few minutes minutes.

 


Times

GENERAL INFO

  • Volunteers should arrive at the times listed below, unless you have been instructed otherwise based on your role.
  • Immediately upon arriving, all volunteers should check-in with the volunteer coordinator to be directed as needed. 
  • If you are unable to volunteer for the full event, please let the volunteer coordinator know so they can plan accordingly.

Thursday - Miracle Field (Messer Park)

  • Volunteers serving food (Kiwanis Club) should arrive at 5:00 PM
  • Volunteers helping on the field should arrive by 5:30 PM
  • Kids' game starts at 6:00 PM
  • Seminole Sound band will play between 6:50 - 7:10
  • Adult game starts immediate after that, around 7:10
  • Cleanup starts around 8:00 PM, we should be done by 9:00 PM

Friday - TCC Lifetime Sports Complex

  • Volunteers should arrive by 9:30 AM
    (please do not park in the marked off parking area unless you have a disability parking permit) 
  • Event starts at 10:00 AM
  • Event ends at 2:00 PM and cleanup will begin

Saturday - Maclay Gardens

  • Volunteers should arrive by 9:00 AM 
    (please park at Maclay School between 8:30 and 8:45 to allow time to take the shuttle to the event) 
  • Event starts at 10:00 AM
  • Event ends at 3:00 PM and cleanup will begin
